We are a loving Church that will welcome you and take time to hear about what is going on in your life (John 13:34-35; Acts 2:42-47).
We are members of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (AFLC). The AFLC is a cooperative effort of like-minded Lutheran congregations who desire to proclaim the saving message of Jesus Christ to the world.
We believe that the congregation is the right form of the Kingdom of God on earth, with no authority above it besides the Word of God and the Spirit of God (2 Corinthians 3:17).
We believe that God has called us to be a part of the expansion of the kingdom of God, which we participate in and give to. Almost 30% of the budget of Living Word Lutheran Church goes toward mission and ministry endeavors.
We believe that we are called to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16)—separated from the ways of the world—and that this difference is to be reflected in the missional life of the congregation to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)
We advocate for the sanctity of human life (Psalm 139:13-16) and observe marriage as the union of one man and one woman (Matthew 19:4-6).
We believe that we are sinners and are in need of a Savior (Romans 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:1-10). Because of the grace that we have received from Jesus, we also strive to extend forgiveness to one another (Ephesians 4:32).
In worship, we believe that the worship style isn’t about our preferences, but about the God we worship. We emphasize liturgical elements which provide theological depth and contemporary elements which connect those theological truths to our lives (John 4:23
We believe that the sacraments are God’s means of grace for His Church (Matthew 26:26-28; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-4). At Living Word, we practice infant baptism and admittance to the Lord’s Supper for all baptized and instructed believers who are trusting in Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins.
